When You’re Tired, Keep Trusting

Hi friend,

October has been a month of courage, but courage isn’t just for the big, dramatic moments. It’s also for the everyday ones: the mornings you get up and pray anyway, the nights you trust God even when you don’t see the results yet.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Courage is perseverance rooted in trust. It’s choosing to believe that God’s promises are still true — even when you can’t yet see the harvest.

Here are three ways to stay courageous when you’re weary:

  1. Remember past faithfulness. Think of one moment this year when God answered a prayer or gave strength when you didn’t have it.
  2. Rest without quitting. Taking time to breathe, pray, or worship is not giving up — it’s recharging with purpose.
  3. Refocus on the promise. God’s timeline may look different than yours, but His plans are always good.

Courage doesn’t mean never feeling afraid — it means trusting the Lord enough to keep moving forward anyway.

🎨 Kids' Corner:

This week’s activity focuses on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, three friends who refused to bow to the king’s statue because they trusted God with their whole hearts. Even when they were thrown into a fiery furnace, they stood firm in their faith — and God was right there with them!

While your kids find the objects, talk about these questions together:

  • Why did the three friends refuse to bow?
  • What does it mean to trust God even when things are scary?
  • How can we be brave when we stand up for what’s right?

🙏 Family Faith Focus:

Plan a “Courage Celebration Night”!

  • Everyone shares one way they were brave this month — big or small.
  • Read Joshua 1:9 aloud together.
  • End with a short prayer: “Lord, thank You for helping our family be strong and courageous. Teach us to keep trusting You in every season.”

🌻 Just for You:

Friend, God sees the faithfulness you’ve poured out all month long. Even the small acts — a prayer whispered, a word spoken in love — matter to Him. When you feel worn, lean into His promise: He will complete what He began in you.
