Are You Wearing the Armor of God Today?

Hi sweet friend,

It’s Thursday — the weekend is just around the corner, but the week may already feel long. This is the perfect time to pause and remember: you're not walking through it alone. In Ephesians 6, God reminds us that He’s given us armor for every battle — truth, righteousness, faith, peace, and more.
Whether you're facing big emotions, hard conversations, or simply trying to get dinner on the table, His strength is yours today. Let's suit up together.

📖 Bible Study Tip of the Week:

This week, try a “word-by-word” Bible study using Ephesians 6:10–18. Pick one piece of the armor each day and study what Scripture says about it elsewhere in the Bible. Write down insights, prayers, or real-life ways to apply what you learn. Great for morning quiet time or family devotionals!

Here are a few verses to get started:

  • Belt of Truth – Psalm 119:160 - "The entirety of Your word is truth, each of Your righteous judgments endures forever."
  • Breastplate of Righteousness – Psalm 106:3 - "How happy are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times."
  • Shield of Faith – Psalm 91:4 - "He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield."
  • Helmet of Salvation – Isaiah 12:2 - "Indeed, God is my salvation; I will trust Him and not be afraid, for the LORD, the LORD Himself, is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation."
  • Sword of the Spirit – Hebrews 4:12 - "For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
  • Shoes of Peace – Romans 10:15 - "And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news."

🌈 Kids' Corner:

This week’s hands-on activity is a fun and interactive Armor of God Spinner Craft! Kids will cut out two circles, place the top cover over the bottom, and use a brad fastener to make it spin. As they turn the wheel, each piece of the armor appears through the window — helping them learn and remember what each one means.

Use it during Bible time to talk about how they can "wear" the armor each day — like using the Shield of Faith when they feel afraid or the Helmet of Salvation to remember they belong to Jesus.

🙏 Family Faith Focus:

Each morning or evening, pick one piece of armor and read the verse aloud (Ephesians 6:10–18). Talk briefly as a family about how you can “wear” that piece that day. For example, “How can we use the belt of truth at school or work?” This simple habit builds spiritual strength and connection.

✨ Just for You:

Feeling weary in the battle? You are not alone. You have divine strength, heavenly armor, and a faithful God on your side. Remember, it’s not about fighting harder — it’s about standing firm in His power. You've got this, because He's got you.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your family’s faith journey. My prayer this week is that your home would be a place where God's armor is worn daily — not just in theory, but in love, prayer, and bold truth. Keep going. Keep standing. Keep pointing your children to the God who equips us for every battle.

Keep reading your Bible,
